Mary McCallum is an E-RYT200, Curvy Yoga, and Yoga for All certified yoga instructor who is passionate about making yoga accessible to everyone. Mary loves teaching how yoga can work for you and dispelling common yoga myths. Her goal is to create a fun, inclusive, supportive, and non-intimidating environment for all ages, sizes, and abilities.
Sabrina Mercedes weaves community aid, wellness and education into their lifestyle and work by meeting people where they are at. Sabrina believes in using Medicine Wheel teachings to guide their wellness journey. Sabrina uses these teachings to create non judgemental spaces to allow others to explore their own reconnection to self awareness. Sabrina is a single parent who is passionate about integrating art, wellness, and education for safe relations to self and community.
Marie Nutter is a pediatric operating room nurse, yoga instructor, business owner of MNyoga, and published author of “The Human Healing Project.” Her passion projects include teaching trauma-informed yoga and meditation to healthcare providers, first responders and veterans. She also loves learning ways to help transform everyday challenges into better ways of interacting with ourselves and others. Marie is not only a standout member of her community, but she was recognized as an example of resiliency by Psychology Today Magazine. Their September 2020 issue spoke of how she used yoga and meditation to create balance and perspective within times of uncertainty.
Danielle Jokinen is a Life Coach, Yoga Teacher and YOD Program creator, she is a student and leader of life. An internationally recognized Yoga Teacher and has been a Spiritual and Personal Life Coach for the last ten years. Her purpose is to connect to source so that she can help others live a spirit driven life. She is also certified as a Holistic Shaman and does 1:1 mentoring. Her mission is to awaken all to be their true, authentic selves and live in optimal health, integrity and happiness. To guide people to their purpose so that they can live a life of creation and contribution. When she is not working, she loves spending time with her daughter and boyfriend and being outside in nature.
Melissa Sargent is from Shoreview, MN and currently lives in Saint Paul with her husband and three of their five kids, two of their children are grown and live in the twin cities. Melissa has practiced various types of yoga since she took her first class at age 19 at St. Catherine University. Yoga became her preferred form of exercise for years. Because Melissa was born with part of her right arm she dogs yoga was a firm of exercise like no other, it helped her maintain alignment and strength in both sides of her body. Of course, over time, yoga became more than exercise for Melissa. She began to learn more about yoga, it’s history and philosophies and eventually went through teacher training to share her joy of yoga with others. In October of 2021 Melissa purchased Minneapolis Yoga, a local studio that had served is community for twenty years! She is grateful and honored to be part of such an amazing yoga community, at her studio, and within the Midwest Yoga community at large.
Ericka Jones is a D&I professional for over 11 years. In her role current role as a Global Inclusion & Diversity leader, she collaborates with key stakeholders to develop comprehensive strategies that will increase diversity, build and sustain inclusive behaviors. Founder of the Yoga Coalition. An alliance for combined action bringing inclusion, equity and diversity to the yoga community. Ericka is a 200-hr yoga teacher and lululemon ambassador. Bringing diversity, mindfulness and inclusion into spaces is her purpose and passion.
