Many people know the Chakras as convergences of energy in the physical body. However, most people don’t know that the Chakra system studied in the west is actually quite a young system developed by non-Indian practitioners. Although the concept of the Chakras is found in centuries old texts, the psychological overlays attributed to the Chakra system of healing were actually developed in roughly the last 100 years. This course reviews the modern Seven Chakra system and also gives insight into what the Indian sages of old said about the Chakras.
